Webinar: Contractual and Tax Implications of COVID-19 Pandemic in Kuwait

The COVID-19 pandemic continues to impact the construction and engineering industry all over the world. Kuwait is no exception.

 

Driver Trett and BDO are pleased to invite you to their free webinar on Contractual and Tax Implications of the COVID-19 Pandemic in Kuwait, which will take place on Tuesday 15 December 2020 at 2 pm Kuwait Time.

In this webinar, Driver Trett will discuss the contractual implications of the COVID-19 pandemic in Kuwait and provide some guidelines for contractors to follow when making claims for extension of time and/or additional costs due to the pandemic. This is followed by an introduction to Kuwait tax by BDO, and a discussion about the potential tax implications of the COVID-19 pandemic and related claims on local and foreign entities in Kuwait.

SPEAKERS:

Mustafa Gun, Country Manager, Driver Trett – Kuwait

Mustafa is responsible for Driver Group's Kuwait office and has over 15 years’ experience within the construction industry with particular experience in the preparation and rebuttal of construction claims for extension of time and additional costs on various complex construction projects.

Mustafa holds a BSc in Civil Engineering and MSc in Construction Law and Arbitration and has professional memberships of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb).

Rami Alhadhrami, Partner – Tax & Regulatory Services, BDO – Kuwait

Rami is a tax partner and leads the tax service line of BDO Kuwait. He is a Chartered Accountant of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.

Rami’s experience is in international tax and Kuwait tax, as well as as indirect taxes. He is regularly involved in advising foreign companies with their business and tax structures in Kuwait and across the Gulf region. Rami also participates in complex tax assessments and cases in Kuwait.
