In our AMEA region – Asia, Middle East, Africa – we are seeking to develop our DIALES influence and capability by appointing a Technical Director to focus on key Expert Witness appointments.
Job Description
Your role will include but not be limited to:
- Leading appointments as an expert witness in Arbitration or Litigation
- Building strong relationships with new and existing clients and legal professional
- Contributing to the development of programming and delay analysis through public speaking, publication of papers and articles ETC
- Winning work for yourself and a team
- Working closely with the existing leadership team
- Organising collaborative management of teams to ensure excellence in providing high quality advice and service delivery
Desired Skills and Experience
This is an opportunity for a recognized Delay specialist with deep industry knowledge and strong technical skills to combine their expertise in programming and construction project management with business development, management and consulting skills to deliver a high quality product whilst leading a team of analysts and delay professionals.
From our UAE or Hong Kong Office you will work on some of the largest and most interesting disputes on Major Construction, Engineering, and Oil projects worldwide, located in places such as the Middle East, Asia, Africa and Far East, but not limited to these.
Your background should include;
Degree or equivalent and post graduate qualification relevant to the construction and engineering sector.
- Relevant professional membership at fellow or membership level
- Contributing to the development of programming and delay analysis through public speaking, publication of papers and articles and the like
- Experience acting as an expert witness and expert advisor involving complex international disputes on matters of construction project delay is essential
- Broad experience across a range of construction/engineering projects
- Flexible attitude to working and business travel.
- Experience in business development, winning work and creating opportunities to bid for new commissions;
- Capability in personnel development and management for delivery of business tasks;
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust with clients;
