This seminar seeks to give guidance on the constituent parts of a claim for prolongation of a construction project as it relates to financial compensation and to draw the distinction between the fundamentally different Prolongation Claims and Disruption Claims.
John Dowse has over 35 years of experience in the construction and engineering industries. Having originally studied civil engineering his work experience took him initially into a project management/quantity surveying practice before a move into the world of construction contracting and about 18 years later having studied for and obtained academic and professional qualifications in law, into consultancy and legal roles.
John is a practising arbitrator, mediator and adjudicator. He lectures regularly in construction contracts, such as the FIDIC suite of contracts, and he is an accredited tutor and examiner for the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
