Jonathan Sanderson has been promoted to Oman Country Manager. We took the opportunity to ask him a few questions about his new role, his influences and his hobbies.
What is your role within the Group?
I have recently been promoted to Country Manager for Oman. I manage the team in Oman, assisted by a claims director, project management director and quantity surveying director. Overall, we have 31 members of staff all based in Oman, coming from diverse backgrounds. I am responsible for the overall service delivery and to uphold the quality of our market leading service provision to our clients.
Who has been the greatest influence on your career?
Apart from Sir Kenny Dalglish… Easy answer this one, Brian Quinn, friend and mentor. I have been involved in construction for many years, but I became more focused on disputes and claims over the past 14 years, mainly thanks to Brian and his career advice and his support, both personally and professionally, thanks again Brian.
What has been the best moment of your career?
Signing for Driver Trett, what else! Not only this, but the training offered by the company and the opportunity to work with some of the most highly skilled individuals within the industry. As is often said, the moment you stop learning then maybe it is time to retire.
What makes you tick?
Seeing clients realise that we can help them, thereafter satisfied clients and repeat business.
Tell us a little-known fact about you.
I am really bad at golf, but enjoy triathlons.
What are you looking forward to in your new role at Driver Trett?
The support of a great team around me, and taking the business forward in Oman.
