We have first-hand experience of how contractors’ can spend significantly more than planned on labour and equipment during the course of a construction project.


When we think about how competitive the pricing of tenders can be, especially in tougher market conditions, a contractors’ overspend on labour and equipment can extinguish a projects profit margin. Through our experience of assisting contractors in the Middle East region over recent years, contractors are looking towards disruption claims more frequently now as a means to recover these overspends.

  4. Identifying the cause and demonstrating the effect.
  5. The various methods for evaluating loss of productivity, and
  6. What a typical disruption claim should contain.

Stefan has over 17 years’ experience within the construction industry, providing delay analysis and programming services to contractors and developers on various complex construction projects ascertaining the facts of delay and demonstrating cause and effect in relation to the preparation and/or defence of extension of time claims using a variety of delay analysis methods.

Steve Powell, Associate Director

Steve has over 25 years’ experience in the construction industry, working for internationally recognised firms. He has particular experience of Contractors Claims preparation and negotiation for matters of delay and disruption, together with quantum assessment, detailed audit of cost ledgers, valuation of variations, preparation of variation claim narratives for use by Quantum Experts and providing advice for Arbitration cases.
