Congratulations to the Driver Trett team in Oman for their work on the newly opened Muscat International Airport (MIA) which officially welcomed its first flight on 20th March 2018.
The new airport currently has a capacity of 20 million passengers per year, a number that will grow to 56 million passengers in the coming years.
With 59 aircraft parking spaces, the new airport is nearly double the size of the old airport and was developed for a total cost of $4.4bn (OMR1.7bn), according to Dr. Mohammed bin Nasser Al-Za’abi, chief executive officer of the Public Authority of Civil Aviation (PACA).
Driver Trett have been providing Contract and Procurement Management Consultancy Services to Oman Airports since September 2016 where our primary role has been to assist Oman Airports’ Procurement and Contracts department with the New Muscat International Airport.
Driver Trett was also appointed by the Ministry of Transport and Communications to provide commercial, claims, planning and dispute resolution support. This support has been delivered through the deployment of highly experienced and qualified personnel with expertise in the management and delivery of major commercial and infrastructure projects.
