Kevin is a Chartered Building Services Engineer, with mechanical bias, with over 25 years’ professional experience within the construction industry working for both contractors and design consultants. He possesses a broad knowledge of various building types and associated mechanical engineering services and has worked across multiple sectors including residential, healthcare, commercial, hospitality and leisure, education and industrial.
Kevin has a clear understanding of the requirements associated with the delivery of projects and has significant experience of leading projects from inception through to completion and handover, meeting tight deadlines. He is familiar with the challenges that arise throughout all stages of a construction project and is able to identify and propose solutions whilst being aware of the consequences of different approaches.
Kevin is an experienced professional with an appreciation of the more commercial aspects of the construction industry as well as technical nuances of his discipline. He is adept at creating and developing relationships with clients/stakeholders so as to ensure that all parties are co-ordinated, and deadlines are achieved. As well as developing and designing technical solutions to complex problems, Kevin has been appointed as an expert witness on three occasions to date, is familiar with the requirements of the role, and has undertaken rigorous assessments compiling detailed reports as part of this work. He has acted as the lead mechanical expert witness on a multi-million-dollar international arbitration. His professional experience is further supplemented by a first-class honours degree and two masters degrees in Construction Law and Dispute Resolution and Building Information Management as well as three charterships.
Kevin is a keen advocate of professional and personal development and undertook Commercial BREEAM Assessor training when it first became available.
