Fabric and Frame Tents
Diales engineers are some of the foremost tent designers in the UK, who have designed festival tents, permanent and temporary fabric structures, and large span frame tents. As well as designing and testing tent systems and supporting decks, we provide analysis for bespoke installations at both public and private events, as well as site reports to opine on erected structures. Our toolbox includes custom analysis software for the design of fabric structures.
Sculptures
We have collaborated with artist, Gerry Judah, for over nine years; producing the centrepiece at the Goodwood Festival of Speed each year, and providing structural designs for permanent sculptures installed around the world.
Stadia and sports venues
We design spectator structures for events around the world, including demountable stands, hospitality pavilions, and catering spaces. We have delivered projects for football clubs, Formula 1, boxing, and golf tournaments. As well as temporary and demountable structures, our team have extensive experience of the design of spectator stands and stadia throughout the UK and internationally.
Demountable buildings
The demand for demountable buildings has increased significantly over recent years, and Diales have experience of the challenges event organisers face when designing and erecting such structures. We have provided structural analysis and design for temporary retail units, broadcast studios, libraries, and large-scale event stands for car makers and international expos. We have worked with major events industry contractors to develop bespoke systems that can quickly be erected and dismantled, while providing all the facilities that would be expected from a permanent building.
Car parks
We have designed permanent and demountable car parks at sites in the UK and internationally. Designing a demountable modular car park system offers numerous advantages, including flexibility, rapid construction, sustainability, cost-effectiveness, and adaptability to various scales and durations. These systems can be used for both temporary and permanent structures, providing a smooth and improved design process and fostering collaboration with other designers.

We have partnered with artist Gerry Judah for over nine years, to provide the structural engineering for his innovative designs worldwide; amongst which are the sculptures installed at the Goodwood Festival of Speed each year. The video on the left discusses our partnership with the artist.

The video to the right details our work for the Paris 2024 Olympics. We provided the engineering design for a temporary five-storey TV studio, which was used by the BBC, NBC, and Chinese State Television for reporting during the Olympics.
