Biography

Michael King has worked in the construction industry for over 35 years, specialising in dispute resolution for the last 15 years.
He is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor, holds a Masters’ Degree in Construction Law and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.

Michael has appeared as quantum expert on over 25 occasions and has given expert testimony in the Technology and Construction Court in London in the case of 125 OBS Nominees v Lend Lease Construction (Europe) Ltd. He has also given expert evidence in adjudication and DAB forums.

He also has experience in the preparation and defence of contractors’ claim and has worked with the major forms of contract including JCT, SBCC, NEC3, FIDIC and ICE and has worked in most of the key construction industry sectors.

Michael is an active member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and has previously sat as a CEDR Arbitrator on consumer disputes.
