Biography

Timo is a contracts, claims and commercial project manager with 20 years hands on experience. Having worked 13 years for large German engineering and construction contractors executing international Engineering, E&P and EPC projects in Germany, Saudi Arabia, China and Lithuania, drafting, negotiating and defending project relevant claims was one of Timo’s core responsibilities.

In addition to his detailed technical understanding required to draft or to defend complex claims, which he gained during a 20 months-long stay abroad on a construction site in Saudi Arabia, he also has profound legal knowledge from having completed his Master of Laws in Business Law.

Since joining Driver Trett in 2015, Timo successfully supported a European installation contractor as contracts and claims manager on four offshore wind park projects in the North Sea, developing and successfully executing the projects claims strategy. He also consulted other European contractors in successfully settling open claims with their clients and closing out the project at the end of the warranty period. Timo further supported one client in an offshore wind park project in preparing a delay claim for dispute adjudication board proceedings and another client by drafting claims related to a plant modification and extension. He also assisted a Diales delay expert witness on an assignment related to an offshore wind park project and was involved as Expert Assistant on another arbitration proceeding related to a combined heat and power plant. And recently Timo provided claims services, including drafting and successfully negotiating a major delay claim, during the execution of a blue hydrogen project.
